The Spring Classic Sprint Triathlon actually consists of several different events. The main event, of course, is the triathlon. This race consists of a 500 yd pool swim, a 14 mile bike leg and a 5K run. You can enter as an individual or as a team if you're not confident on one or more of the segments. Teams are men's, women's or mixed and compete together in the same category for overall awards.
The Duathlon is another option. The Duathlon consists of a 5K run, 14 mile bike and another 5K run. This is a great opportunity for those who would rather not get their feet wet (pun intended) yet want to challenge their endurance.
Finally, the Super Sprint Race challenges youth ages 13-15 or physically challenged adults on a bit shorter course consisting of a 400 yd swim, 6.7 mile bike and 2.3 mile run. Since it's open to traffic, we require youth participants in this category to be registered with USAT and provide their member number at registration so we can verify maturity and capability. Safety on the course is our number one priority.
